Mob City for the Commodore 16.

Save New York in the 1930's from the Mob. Take out the gangsters in windows, door ways or popping up from the drains with your trusty pistol.

Features a PETSCII loading screen by Tommi "Electric" Musturi, a 1930's inspired title tune, 8 way scrolling and a high score table and name entry.

I've seen videos of people playing. No one seems to be using the hide facility. This is critical to getting further into the game and getting a high score.

I've just added the Plus4World created .prg file to download.

Very nice 16K game which reminds a bit to the Mastertronic classics. Our German-language review can be found in our recorded livestream starting at 01:26:35. Subscription to our YouTube or Twitch channel is welcome. 🙂

Thank you so much for reviewing my game. This is loosely based on the arcade game, Empire City 1931. Pressing the space bar allows you to hide behind a wall, to avoid being shot. The downside is that your sight moves.

If you avoid getting shot you get a "Defence Bonus".

If you don't waste a bullet you get the other bonus, it's name evades my memory.

Later on in the game there are crates that you can shoot to get bonuses.

Hi, any chance of a prg-file or .d64 of this one?

Hi. I'm trying this on yape, but I can't see the two gangsters in the lower corners of the screen. Have you removed them in the final release?
PS: can you please remind me how bonuses work? Last time I played Empire City 1931 I was a kid... Thank you.

I ran out of memory sadly. I used it to create the high score table and entry.

very good

I bought it and it's lovely. Although I'd really wish it would come available as a d64 file or even prgs, so I could more easily transfer the files and use them on the real thing.

The reason I released only the .tap is that you'd miss out on the gorgeous Tommi "Electric" Musturi loading screen.
I will offer a .prg as well.

Sounds excellent. Thanks :)

Agree on that one. Would love to load this on the real thing! :
